If anything characterises a stay with us at the Park Royal, it would have to be character. Oodles of it.
That’s partly down to the hotel itself. The main building was constructed in 1831 by Richard Greenall as the vicarage to St. Matthew’s Church, and it’s delightfully quaint, with porthole windows in some of the bedrooms, and a spiral staircase sweeping up to the impressive Tower Suite. In the rest of the hotel, we’ve blended tradition with what we like to think of as our new tradition; of glamorous decadence and indulgence, which perpetuates throughout, from the rooms, to the restaurants to the spa and beyond.
Our unique character also comes from our surroundings, in the heart of the glorious Cheshire countryside, amidst sleepy villages and meandering rivers, with the high life of cosmopolitan Chester nearby.

For the more adventurous we have 3 floodlit tennis courts and a spacious studio offering over 30 classes per week ranging from Aerobics to Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi.

Out and About

The Park Royal is situated in the tranquil Cheshire countryside, just off the M56 at junction 10. The historic city of Chester is a short drive away, alternatively you can see horse racing at Aintree or admire modern and contemporary art at the Tate Liverpool. If you prefer a bit of retail therapy Manchester’s Trafford Centre is just down the motorway.  Warrington Golf Club which is less than 10 minutes away. Alternatively we have all weather tennis courts for you to practice your shots.

Cuisine

Topiary In The Park is our classic restaurant and is a great place for casual fine dining in Cheshire. It has a stylish and contemporary design with an easy going feel to the menu which has been created by Carl Stenson, our Head Chef, and his team and covers everything from a flamboyant take on fish such as Grilled plaice fillet, scallops, garlic and parsley butter to more classic dishes. The restaurant boasts excellent service and uses only the finest fresh produce. We have an excellent selection of fine wines to complement the menu.
